Guitar lesson prices in Warsaw vary up to three times. They depend on the length of the lesson, the teacher's experience and what you get beyond the hour itself. Below are current rates from the largest Polish tutoring sites, converted into the questions people moving to Warsaw usually ask.
Average prices in Warsaw
| Option | Price | Per |
|---|---|---|
| Private teacher, Warsaw | 50–150 PLN, typically about 90–95 PLN | 60 min |
| Tutors, all of Poland | 40–250 PLN, mostly 80–150 PLN | 45–60 min |
| Pre-recorded online course | about 800–1,000 PLN one-off | whole course |
| A lesson with me (Praga-Północ) | 120 PLN | 60 min |
The average rates on Superprof and BUKI for Warsaw usually fall between 60 and 95 PLN per hour; on BUKI over 60% of students choose lessons at about 90 PLN. Bass guitar lessons tend to cost a little more. My full price list, including the monthly plan and the results guarantee, is on the English lessons page.
What changes the price
- Lesson length. 120 PLN for 45 minutes is 2.67 PLN a minute; 120 PLN for a full hour is 2 PLN. Always ask how long the lesson is.
- Experience and training — music school, stage experience, years of teaching.
- Travel. Teachers who come to your home usually add the cost of getting there.
- A package with a fixed weekly slot instead of single lessons.
- What comes with it: materials, tabs, notes after the lesson, contact between lessons.
Lessons in English: what to check
Most listings on Polish tutoring sites are written in Polish, so it is easy to book a lesson and only then find out that the teacher prefers to explain in Polish. Before you pay, ask directly whether the whole lesson — explanations, music terms, the practice plan — can be in English.
- Payment. Many teachers expect cash, a bank transfer or BLIK (a Polish mobile payment).
- Cancellation rules. Ask how many hours before a lesson you can cancel without paying.
- In person or online. For beginners, in-person lessons are worth it: a teacher fixes your hand position before it turns into a habit.
How not to overpay
- Check whether the price is for 45 or 60 minutes.
- Start with one lesson before you buy a package.
- Compare the cost of reaching a goal (for example, your first songs), not the cost of one lesson.
- Ask about cancellation and payment methods.
- Read reviews from other students.
